                                                                      Embedded Vision Engineer

As our new Embedded Vision Engineer, you will undertake tasks, such as:

• Camera sensor interfacing, Image Signal Processor (ISP) interfacing, Optics selection, image quality optimizations.
• Design and development of hardware and firmware in relation to machine vison, as well as of the relevant test software tools (for example MIPI-to-USB3.0/4.0 bridges, ISP processors, custom camera boards, etc.), including the implementation of both the hardware and firmware designs.
• Developing image processing algorithms in resource-constrained devices (in C/C++), utilizing any optimizations/speedups available on each platform (SSE/AVX/NEON/GPU/DSP etc.)
• Implement real-time ML algorithms and simple AI inference on image data.
• Exposure to processing frameworks like OpenCV, TensorFlow, PyTorch and similar will be considered an asset.

To be a successful candidate, your professional profile should match the following criteria:

• University Degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering, Machine Vision or Computer Engineering or relevant technology field.
• Design level knowledge of electrical and electronic circuits and their interconnections. Knowledge of design package, e.g. Altium will be considered an asset.
• Excellent software development skills at the firmware level.
• Excellent software development skills on image processing.
• Good knowledge of Linux OS as a user and developer.
• Laboratory skills will be asset, such as usage of oscilloscopes, multimeters, soldering and bench skills, etc.
• Fair understanding of engineering drawings.
• 3+ years of working experience in a hardware, machine vision or image processing engineering position.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Adaptive, strong interpersonal skills - team player.
• Ability to work under pressure.
